“Amanda you and Shelly Russel need to take off the bright red lipstick as it makes you look like a cheap trashy fluzzie.”
Since when did “living in the fishbowl” give people the right to call me or one of my colleagues/dear friends names? A red lipstick…a RED LIPSTICK makes us look like a cheap, trashy fluzzie?? How about a simple, “Hey, I don’t like that lipstick you have on.” That would have been suffice.
Call me what you want…I certainly won’t lose sleep over that, sir. But you attacked my friend…and I will not stand for that.
That girl you referred to as a “fluzzie,” is one of the best damn journalists I have ever worked with in my career. She is a loyal friend…one who would drop everything in her life if I needed her. She’s a voice for SO many people who are trying desperately to adopt a baby. She is someone who had a pretty bad day today. And unfortunately, your comment is the cherry on top. She’s someone’s daughter…someone’s sister…someone’s wife…someone’s mother…someone’s friend. And YOU just called her a CHEAP, TRASHY, FLUZZIE because she likes red LIPSTICK.
Are. You. Kidding. Me.
You don’t like something about us? That is absolutely fine…you are entitled to your thoughts, opinions and critiques. But nasty name calling? That is a little low.
RED. LIPSTICK. Yes…it’s a bold choice. But that’s what Shelley and I are. BOLD. STRONG. SMART. DETERMINED. Believe it or not, there is MUCH more to us than just some makeup and hairspray.
And at the end of the day…it is JUST lipstick. Seriously.
