Talking about the Dock Dogs
Had a great time in Dubuque Friday at America’s Riverfest! Ron, Mark & I were live at 5 and 6 then introduced The Marshall Tucker Band and Justin Moore. Have to admit it was pretty cool being on stage with Ron in front of hundreds of enthusiastic fans. Of course they weren’t cheering for us, just keyed up in general… but we embraced the energy and shook hands with a few of them from the stage.

The nice thing about doing newscasts on location, it allows you to actually see people watching. A lot of love for us there–handshakes, shout outs, pictures and hugs. Makes you feel good when someone who lives hours away treats you like a next door neighbor because she’s watched you for years and seemingly knows you. One woman was really excited to see me at the Casey’s in Farley late last night. I explained we were heading home from Dubuque as I was arguing with Thomas and Charlotte about Swedish fish and gummy worms.

Love getting to see a picture of Madison with Charlotte and Thomas, what a doll she is! Great that you can take your family with you to “work” occasionally, I’m sure everyone enjoyed it.
