Let the chaos of summer play time begin. This morning around 8 my neighbor texted me to invite Charlotte & Thomas over to play with her 3-year-old daughter. Cue the Keystone Kops music. First they were at Isabella’s, then they were in the back yard, then returned with their friend to our house. But those of you with young children know, three is a crowd. We called siblings who live nearby in hopes of breaking up the potential for two girls to gang up on Thomas. So Brooklynn and Brady came over. They all played upstairs, then downstairs, out front and out back. After lunch on the deck, it was time for the playmates to go home. And on to the waterpark with Daddy so Mommy can take a nap! All this summer activity can wear you out, you know.

I remember those days, inside, outside, back and forth across the street. Yes it does wear us grown ups out! Play groups of three usually don’t work out so great, someone is left out or ganged up on. Its nice Dave can take the kids to the waterpark though! At our house, Dad takes a nap and Mom takes the kids to the waterpark! I enjoy it just as much as the kids so can’t complain!
