Charlotte announced yesterday she wanted to get her hair cut. I suggested the “bob” she used to have as a toddler. She agreed. In my day it was called the Dorothy Hamill and I rocked it in first grade. So now my 6-year-old will sport a similar look in her class photo of the same year. Her request is proof for me that my strategy worked–let her wear her hair the length of her choosing (with bangs) and eventually she’ll want a more manageable and healthier style. Of course the fact her hair was turning green from too much chlorine exposure and her back was constantly hot and itchy from thick hair hanging on it may have factored into her decision. But I didn’t ask. Just took her to the nearest walk-in salon this morning and let her show the stylist a picture of a woman with a tapered bob that we pulled up on my smart phone. The results were spectacular to Charlotte and Mommy.

Adorable! Great choice for your new hair style, Charlotte!
Love the BOB….very cute on Charlotte!
And Thomas, you are very cute, too…just didn’t get a new “hair” style today!!!
You both look so bright and summery!!
Love the new hair cuts on you.
Cute, cute, cute! Much cooler, I’m sure. You might still have to deal with green hair with both kids as they are so blonde.
