I love humidity. When I walk outside an over-air conditioned environment like the newsroom where I work, feeling the thick air envelop me is like a big hug. Growing up I remember the same experience walking out of a restaurant that cranked the AC similarly. I’m convinced it’s why so many of us are constantly battling colds and sinus infections. We never live and work in consistent temperature ranges. It’s always extremes. Of course traveling this weekend and seeing the car thermometer hit over 120 was a little too much, even for me. And I’ve yet to wear shorts all summer. Mainly because I don’t like how my legs look in them! Maybe next year I’ll be happier with my size and muscle development, then I can skip the black workout pants I wore to a 4th of July parade.

It surely can have much to do with your sinus/cold problems.
Seriously, black workout pants to the 4th of July parade-egads, hope you were comfortable (if I recall was a little steamy that day).
I also have not worn shorts in public. I usually wear capris. They are not as revealing as shorts. But I have to agree with the black workout pants. Those would have been very hot.
I used to feel self-conscious about my legs and didn’t wear shorts in public. Then menopause and hot flashes came along and I changed my tune quickly! Let’s face it, most of us don’t look like supermodels, just dress for comfort! Capris are also a good option.
The longer style shorts look nice on many people; however, I, too, prefer capris in public but wear shorts at home. Yes, Mama, menopause changes one’s world, doesn’t it?
I’m afraid I would have fainted wearing black pants this past July 4th! Whew!
CAPRIS are a WONDERFUL thing!
Whoohoo, yea for capris!!!
