It’s a tough job being a shelf elf. All that flying back and forth to the North Pole. And being the bad guy in the house when kids are acting up. Ernie initially took away two of my kids’ presents under the tree, but they got them back for improved behavior. I stepped in and took two of Charlotte’s presents away yesterday then a third by nightfall and Thomas lost two this morning for rudely talking back to his Mommy. So it was no surprise Ernie was suspended from the top of the cabinets, hanging on to the gifts as a stark reminder they could be shipped out if my two don’t shape up. Guess Ernie’s warning was not heeded:
Yet he smiles and acts like nothing’s wrong.

How creative you are Tara!
I wish Hank was that creative. With a few nights left, I will have to see what he can come up with
I love the “Be Good”…..
One little girl in my classroom told me that the elf at her house recently left because she was so sad that the children were fighting so much. Oh, yes, she also took some of the presents with her that were under the tree! The little girl is hoping the elf returns with the presents!!!
Have you seen the one with the elf on the toilet and a peppermint candy in the toilet? Caption is, “well at least she/he used the toilet”. The girl elf with a skirt on was hanging on the toilet seat. Lucky the elf didn’t fall in!
