Jane Austen is my all-time favorite author.  Her 1813 novel, Pride and Prejudice, is at the top of my best fiction list.  So what a dummy that it took me this long to start watching a show I was guaranteed to love:  Downton Abbey.  I have been obsessed with the British period drama since I watched the first season over the weekend.  This week I’m hanging on every frame of the second season, all to be caught up for Season 3 that just started.  When Dave commented about my being glued to it Sunday I fired back with something about my surprise that he would be critical of his wife watching such high-brow programming when he’s yelling at the TV over men tackling one another.  Ha, ha  But I’ll admit downloading the show’s theme song as my ringtone today was a little like jumping into the English Channel–nuts.  No plans, however, to trade in my shapewear for a corset.
