When your 4-year-old who’s not teething and far from tooth fairy time keeps complaining that his teeth hurt, you know something’s up. That something emerged this morning at a trip to a walk-in clinic when Thomas tested positive for strep. I had already called his preschool to say he would not be coming, then called back to alert them of his diagnosis. He is a trooper. Went with me to the doctor, then the store to get medicine and back home to pick up Daddy for a trip with him to physical therapy. Thomas slept in the car and on my lap. Dave’s session was painful, but promising. His range of motion is improving but his left hand is so swollen he can’t fit his wedding band back on–a first for him not to wear it in 7 years! He was napping in the basement when I had to head in to work. I told Thomas to wake Daddy up if he needed anything and Charlotte would be getting off the bus after two Power Ranger Samurai episodes. Time for our children is explained through TV show increments. Big day tomorrow–Dave can take off his shoulder bandage and shower.

Hope that Dave is more comfortable WITHOUT the shoulder bandage….to say NOTHING about feeling better after a shower.
and HOPEFULLY Thomas’ meds have kicked in so that your “litle man” feels better.
Tara, I think you turned into a super hero! You have had alot to deal with in a short time. Take Care….
