Cubbie is not too happy with me right now. That’s because I made him get rid of some of his toys.
We just found out last week we have to move out of our house. It wasn’t planned. I’m stressed out , but I’m getting through it.
I’ve already started boxing some stuff up so I don’t have to do it all at once. Mostly because I really hate moving/packing. I figure if I spend an hour or so a day boxing stuff up, it won’t be such an overwhelming job.
Anway, I think moving is a great time to clean stuff out and get rid of stuff I don’t need/use/want. Since I’m getting rid of stuff, I thought it was only fair Cubbie should have to clean out his toys, too. I don’t think Cubbie agrees with me.
Here is a picture of his toy box before. It’s overflowing.
He has tons of toys. And I don’t want to get rid of the toys he likes, but quite honestly, he has a lot of toys he doesn’t play with anymore because he’s destroyed them.
Here’s a photo during the clean out.
Every time I put a toy in the throw away pile, Cubbie would run around the house with it.
The toys I got rid of had no stuffing left, were ruined and not even worth moving with us. But try telling that to Cubbie. If he had his way, he’d keep every last toy for the rest of his life.
In the end, he still has a full box of toys. I’m sure it won’t take long before it’s overflowing once again.

So sorry to hear you have to move. I hope you find a new place soon and if Cubie has his good toys he will be happy no matter where he is if he has them and you.
I think Cubbie is the ONLY dog to have a toy box as big and overflowing as Lola and Graham’s toy box is! I’ve been debating cleaning it out but haven’t the heart to toss things out just yet.
