Light bulb moments can hit you like a ton of bricks. You are going about your business and living your life and next thing you know something comes into your mind that stops you dead in your tracks. Has this ever happened to you? It seems to happen to me often. A tiny voice from within that speaks to you in the strangest of times.
I think this happened to me this weekend at Sturgis Falls as I was laughing, joking and generally having a wonderful time with friends. As I walked among the throngs of people and basked in the sunshine–it suddenly hit me.
The thought that came to me was “Yep… you are ok.”
Does that seem groundbreaking? Not really but in the scheme of things it did. And it made perfect sense. Mostly it made sense because I AM okay all of a sudden. Time and the presence of good people in your life can make even the darkest of situations seem much lighter instantly. It’s like that moment when you have had a fever or flu and you are miserable and all of a sudden you are instantly feeling better and you could just sing you are so happy! All of a sudden you value your health and feel as though you could take on the world. It was a bit like that.
It made me realize that no matter what situation one may find themselves in–the light at the end of the tunnel is a very, very bright one! We must believe and hope in that light no matter how sad we might feel because at the end of the day if you can believe–then you will one day find it. Every sunset has a sunrise and so does every bad situation.
At the end of the day….we have to have hope!
