Stress Ball to Sick Birdie

How do you deal with stress? For me the instant I am stressed, I get sick which is exactly why I am writing this blog post under a blanket shivering and drinking bucket loads of water.

It never fails that when I take on additional stress and do not deal with it right–it manifests itself on my body. When I moved here I was sicker than I have ever been due to all the stress of moving, packing and leaving my friends. I coughed for weeks and no matter what I tried it would not go away. I started to get anxious and nervous thinking about starting my first day with a lingering awful cough. A News Anchor’s nightmare! I didn’t even have any insurance as it had lapsed from the month or so from my previous job. Luckily many of my parents friends offered to treat me  and after a dose of antibiotics I was fine.

Stress can wreak complete and utter havoc on us and I need to find a better way to deal with things. Most days I can channel stress the right way and not let things build up but sometimes it all comes together like a freight train! How are ways you deal with stress? Any advice you can give this stressed out chica? :)

I will tell you that one way I do deal with stress is by blogging! Thank YOU for providing this outlet for me! :) I will say this though…having someone to talk to and who listens and offers the BEST advice makes everything worth it. I am beyond thankful to have a person who cares so much and offers so much to make my life easier and better.

He knows who he is and he is wonderful!…..

It comes and goes!

Exercise, good friends, plenty of water, and sleep seem to do it for me!

I have the same problem. Usually after an extremely stressful chunk of time at work. I’ve been told many times – it’s your body telling you to slow down and rest. So that’s what I do. Sometimes that is the only thing to do.
    Hope you’re feeling better.

I agree with NE Iowa Mom–exercise is a definite for me. The more I sweat, the better I feel (and it doesn’t take much on these hot days). Good friends, especially those that will sweat with you so that you can Bi*** and Moan together about life in general. Water and sleep–life’s staples. Good luck!
