Nowadays there are so many rules when it comes to dating ! Seems like whenever you grab a magazine off the shelf the cover literally  screams at you-

“How to catch a man in 10 days”

“Make him love you forever”

“Are you really dating?”

Ugh–I say enough. I don’t want to listen to some book or magazine or pamphlet when it comes to what is right and what isn’t. I prefer to listen to my heart. Granted sometimes my heart has done some pretty crazy things to me and lead me in a path that was not right BUT when I think about it now I see that perhaps it WAS the right path because I learned so very much!

Now that I can see things clearer than I have in weeks I am starting to realize a lot more. Yes it was painful for awhile but the sun does eventually shine again and you learn some important lessons in life!  First and foremost–you don’t ever need someone to complete you. Looking for a person to do that will almost always lead to heartbreak and pain.

What you really need is to find someone who accepts you for who you are and enhances your life without ruling it!

The exciting thing about life is that you get to choose the direction it goes. It’s your journey! Now take that first step!
