I took my first step in bettering my future by visiting the UNI campus today. I found out what I need to do to enroll and saw some pretty high prices for credits as well! When did college get so expensive! I suppose it always was but since it’s been so long since I was a student I kinda forgot the expense. Oh well-it’s still a great investment in my future. I am excited about new possibilities!

I am also excited for a fun weekend which will involve some relaxing with Mr. New. We are going to a wedding in Dubuque on Saturday and I cannot wait! I love weddings and it will be fun to spend some quality time with one of my favorite people!

I might also head down to Hudson days on Friday! Jason goes every year and he has invited me out to meet his family which will be tons of fun! I am looking forward to a happy weekend that is not stressful as the past few have been planning a party and lots of driving to the Twin Cities.

Work has been so emotional with the missing girls from Evansdale. I am so proud of the KWWL team for staying strong while covering such a heart wrenching story. I am especially proud of Nikki Newbrough who goes out to Evansdale every morning and covers such a sad story. She does it all with such grace and true compassion for the family. I keep praying that they will find the two girls. It’s as if they completely vanished into thin air. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
