Jason and I have been working out for about a month now and it feels good to get on that eliptical every morning! We have a rule that we do not talk to each other at the gym so we usually end up on opposite sides staring at each other awkwardly from time to time. He has a routine that involves different muscle groups everyday while my routine is just to make it to 35 minutes on the eliptical daily. This is made easier by the stack of trashy entertainment magazines the kind staff at the club provide. Hop on the eliptical and read about celebrity gossip and time simply flies!
I also love the four songs on my phone that I listen to over and over again. Jason makes fun of me for this but honestly they work perfectly well and I don’t get sick of them so I don’t download any new ones. Two are country and two are bluegrass. They always get me moving!
After our workout today we headed to Newtons for a promo shoot we were doing inside. We all had coffee and then proceeded to order. I was very proud of myself for ordering egg whites scrambled and whole wheat toast minus the butter. I did have a few spoonfuls of the hash browns on the side but everyone deserves a little treat
Jason had biscuits and gravy that looked divine but I kept joking with him that he just cancelled his workout altogether by what he ordered.
These days we are doing several speaking engagements since we do not have a noon show due to the Olympics. It was so much fun going to talk at the La Porte Senior Center yesterday. I got several hugs and loved sharing with the kind folks what I do and answering some questions. It means so much to get out in the community and talk to people. I love it! Tomorrow we are going to the Bremer County Fair to talk to people. It doesn’t even feel like work considering how much fun we are both having. Thursday it’s the Boys and Girls Club and Friday we are heading to Grundy Center for another talk. Jason is a great guy to work with. We laugh and joke and really are friends which makes everything better.
Pictures to follow soon!
