Monday Musings!

It’s a hard concept for people to understand when I talk about fasting or juice fasting in general. The fact of the matter is that it’s a very hard process and one that is not pleasant in the beginning. Of course nobody wants to feel ill and have headaches and such. However if you think about all the food we put in our bodies that is harming us it makes far more sense. Processed foods are the worst things we can consume yet most people eat these the most. They are full of sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Much of it isn’t even food at all but just chemicals coated with dye made to look like food.

Today was a rather tough day but not too hard to handle. I had a glass of juice this morning (cucumber, celery stalks, an apple and lemon) and then had another for lunch. All the nutrients you need are in the juice. This is NOT about starvation. In fact I would never suggest that or approve of something like that. This is rather a way for your body to cleanse itself of the toxins it has built up for just a few days.

I had a very nice weekend with Mr. New. He made Valentines Day so very special for me. When I arrived home on Valentines Day he had left a card, teddy bear and vase with flowers on my mantle. I love the fact that he surprises me with things when I get home. I called and thanked him and that is when he told me I needed to go upstairs as well. Upstairs were two long stemmed roses and another card for me! He is always surprising me with something new and sweet.

Later that day he came over and told me we would go out to dinner to celebrate on Friday since I had to work so early the next day. But he was not done yet.

He went to the basement where he knows I never go and brought up a gift bag with hearts and flowers all over it. When I opened it I saw a gorgeous silver necklace in the shape of a heart with two diamonds in the middle. I gasped and didn’t even know what to say. The box was in a ring box which made it even more anxious to open it.

I was so touched by all he did for me. He really made my day so special and I love that now I have a necklace that I can wear as a constant reminder of him.

I love it!

I understand your defense with the cleanse. However, this is a blog and there were multiple blog responses that have been removed from your post, mine included. It appears as though the more negative blog responses were removed. This makes it confusing to others when you try to defend why you are doing this cleanse. I feel if you can blog about it, we have a right to comment, even if you don’t agree with them. Sorry.

Jen I agree with you , although this might get deleted before you get to read it!
Many of my responses are deleted and I just laugh to myself. When one says “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. It’s not that I’m being rude, it’s just that I’m being honest. Sometimes one can learn from another persons honesty, even if they don’t like what they read! And why sugar coat it by the whole nicey, nice thing? Sorry but black is black & white is white in my book.
