So yes… I know what I’m about to write about is gross! Poop.
Drake had probably one of the worst blow outs he’s ever had this weekend. Floyd was holding him and Drake was just grinning. Then suddenly he knew it was time for a diaper change. But when he started that process, it became clear that this was going to be QUITE A MESS!!
There was “ook” running down his legs and all the way up his back clear to his shoulders. Removing his shirt proved a challenge to not spread the mess even further. I was holding Drake’s hips as Floyd tried to peel the clothing off. I used one wipe after another trying to clean out all the crevices that were just covered in ook. As we were doing this Floyd and I were both just smiling and laughing. You just can’t help it. It’s so ridiculous and gross and you just can’t believe ALL THAT came from such a precious little baby! Hah!
Needless to say, a bath was in order even after all the wipe down because he was just so sticky. He smiled sweetly the whole time, innocent and clueless about the mess I’m sure. Oh the joys of parenthood!

Oh, how I do remember those moments! Guess what, I swear I can still smell it too!
A bath works wonders, doesn’t it? I can smell the baby lotion too! It gives you a whole new perspective on single parents, doesn’t it?
Too funny – reminds me of my great nephew Braxton!!
Hahaha, I loved this story!! Breastfed babies tend to have a lot more blow outs than formula fed babies. I used formula with my teenagers and breastfed my one year old.. Lots of blow outs. One time she was sitting on her daddy’s lap on the couch and I was downstairs doing laundry. I started coming up the stairs and I could hear, “help, help, Jaime, can you come here”, in a really panicked voice. I walked into the living room and thought I was going to pee my pants laughing. She had the biggest blow out ever! It was all the way to her daddy’s ankles and just running on to the floor. All I could do is drop to the floor and cry from laughing so hard. We managed to get to the bathtub and strip her clothes, by this time both dying laughing so much that it scared the baby and made her cry. Needless to say they both had to have showers/baths.. LOL
By the way, I LOVE your blog and can’t wait to keep reading it. I sat next to you during the jury selection for the Anding trial the other day. When I went the next day to read the news I found your blog. So I am technically not stalking you. Thanks for being so helpful the other day answering my crazy questions about how the jury selection works!
So glad you’re enjoying my blog!! Nice meeting you, too–glad to help answer your questions! I’m sure you’re glad you didn’t get selected since that trial is STILl going!
