Unfortunately, since it’s yet again a Sunday, I’ll be spending most of this Father’s Day at work. But I did treat Floyd to his favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy, this morning! And he got special cards from Drake, Aleah the puggle, and me.
I simply could not imagine a more perfect father for Drake (and Aleah for that matter!). He is so loving, patient, and kind. I know he already is, and will continue to be, an incredible role model for our son and any other children we may have years down the road. He helps calm me down when I freak out about something, he’s always willing to be “house husband” when needed—laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning, you name it! And together, I think we make a pretty darn good team. I don’t know where I’d be without him and just feel incredibly blessed he’s the head of our little family.

This is probably my favorite picture so far of Drake & Floyd. The hospital photographer snapped this when our little guy was just 2 days old! I have a copy of it sitting on my desk at work.

What an awesome picture!
You will have to take Floyd to Morg’s for biscuits and gravy! The best! (well probably not as good as yours)
Wow, what a wonderful hospital photographer to take such a beautiful photo. I didn’t know that hospitals had photographers.
Floyd is the BEST son-in-law and new daddy that any set of in-law’s could ask for.
We hired a photographer to come in and take dozens of pictures while they were in the hospital; this particular shot is also among my favorites.
Happy 1st Father’s Day Floyd!
What a precious picture of Floyd & Drake!! You are all lucky to have each other.
At Covenant, they offer the service to all new parents. You can opt to have the photographers come in if you want, and then it’s optional whether or not to purchase the photos. We ended up buying the disc with all the photos she took, and printed off our favorites! She did a great job. My very first post after Drake was born where I had the photo of him and the candy canes was another one she took.
