As a little girl, I LOVED to play dress up. I had a collection of old dance recital costumes, Halloween costumes, hats, and hair bows that made play time a lot of fun. I recall some birthday parties in my mom’s basement when my friends and I would dress up in all these outfits, make up dance routines, and have “Miss America” pageants together.
This weekend, it was fun to play a little “dress up” with Drake for his 6-month pictures. (which I will share once I get to see them!) He was really well behaved through about 99 percent of the photo session. He was getting hungry and tired at the end, so we called it good at that point. But our friend Julie had so much fun taking his photos –naked in a tie, in a tin bath tub, and dolled up in cargo shorts and a plaid top. During our weekend outing, we also did a little shopping. And Drake got to drive a shopping cart fire truck and Floyd had him try on a baseball catcher’s mask. He was so silly with that thing on. He just giggled and smiled so big! Unfortunately, my good camera’s battery died so I just snapped a couple on my cell phone. But he still looks pretty darn cute! Love this boy!!
