Salmon suggestions?

So I bought some salmon, but I’m not really sure I even like it.  I’ve only tasted it once many years ago and it seemed a little “fishy” to me (no pun intended!).  But on my health kick I decided one of these days I’d like to try making it because it is protein packed and good fuel for the body!  I found a recipe that sounds awesome (a teriyaki, grilled salmon)–but I’m still nervous to try it!  Have any of you found successful ways to prepare salmon (baking, grilling, broiling…) that work well?  I think I’ll still have a back-up meal ready to go whatever night I decide to concoct this just in case it tastes terrible!  haha!  But I’m open to your salmon suggestions!

Update on my fit challenge:

After a stressful week and a bad weigh-in, I decided to brave the scale Saturday and was thrilled!  I am now less than four pounds away from my goal weight.  I was so encouraged by that, I took my measurements for the first time in about two months and have shed a total of 10 inches so far.  I’m looking forward to hitting my goal & going shopping!  The biggest thing for me is to feel healthy, energized, and try on whatever I want and feel good about my body in my clothes.  And I’m getting there–one step at a time.  There have been mornings I’ve slapped the snooze a few too many times because I didn’t know if I could muster the energy to get up and do my workout, but once I do exercise I feel so good and have energy to make it through my day.  A 5:50 a.m. wake-up is not fun, but the results are so worth it!  Thank  you all for your encouraging words–it keeps me going more than you know! ;)

I do it on the grill… put salmon on aluminum foil with some olive oil drizzled on the fish. Salt, pepper, garlic salt the fish.. close the grill lid and let it cook uncovered for about a half hour on medium heat… Do not turn the fish as it will cook thru with lid closed.some of our family with drizzle fresh lemon juice on after it is cooked….. YUM!!!!!

I use the same recipe as Chris; do like the lemon juice on the salmon.

Congrats on your weight loss! Wow, you certainly are goal-oriented!

Salmon Recipe- I was in the same boat with you about salmon but now I love salmon. I preheat oven for 400 degrees and I put a little soy sauce on salmon before I put in oven. Then cook for 20 minutes and then add some honey on top of each piece of salmon and put in oven for one more minute, it is so good.

Now I am onto tilapia which has also become one of my favorites!

I love salmon. My favorite way to make it, is, on the George Forman grill. Spray the grill with some pam, season the salmon a little cook it in there for about 4 minutes. Then I drizzle some sugar free apricot marmilade over the top. It’s the best, and so easy!!
