So after Drake’s first adventure in the mini-inflatable pool on our back deck, Drake had his first “big pool” experience last month during our trip to Minneapolis. This weekend, we were back in our old stomping grounds of Quincy, Illinois and he got to take a dip in his first outdoor pool. I am now thoroughly convinced he is a water-lovin’ baby! The water was much cooler in the outside pool than the inside hotel pool he swam in last time. But he still went right in with us, splashed and kicked around and just loved it! I was a little fish as a kid, too, so I’m not surprised! The joy on his little face is just the best! I’m trying to stay on top of pictures so I don’t fall way behind in photo albums and his baby book. It’s hard to believe 2012 is already half-way over. Drake has grown and changed so much in the past 6 1/2 months, and we love him more each day!

I hate to point it out, but 2011 is over Kera!!! I will attribute it to mommy brain…I have a 10 week old at home and know all about it myself! The checkout girl at Sam’s asked how old our daughter was and I said 10 weeks and my husband said 9…we went back and forth and the girl asked if we were fighting about how old she is
We looked at a calendar and yep, she’s 10 weeks…guess he had daddy brain!
