What a wonderful time of year!

I have always loved Christmas–not for opening gifts alone, but for the joy of good food and great memories with family.  My parents were in town Friday-Wednesday.  They had a great time playing with Drake, even babysitting him for us on Friday evening as we had tickets to see “Miracle on 34th Street” at UNI.  We played several rounds of “Catch Phrase” together, had some great meals both in and out, attended a great Christmas Eve church service, and opened packages together on Christmas morning.  I was super stoked to give my mom her gift.  My brother and his girlfriend went in with us to get her a new cookware set–which she desperately needed!  I even found a great one in red, which is her favorite color!  It was really a great time with everyone—I just wish I didn’t have to come back to work today and tomorrow—since we’ll be heading to Missouri soon for another round of Christmas fun.  I hope you all had a terrific holiday as well & that 2013 brings many blessings, too!  Enjoy some snapshots of our celebrations thus far.
