My lovely colleague Natasha Chughtai from time to time blogs “Appreciation time” to thank people for simple things they do to brighten a day. I decided to install my own edition of this today! I was up in the lovely community of Sumner yesterday for the open house of the brand new Community Memorial Hospital. I’ve never felt so welcomed by so many people! I couldn’t tell you how many people said, “Hello, Kera!” “Aren’t you Kera Mashek? Enjoy your reports!” “Thanks for all you do!” and “That Drake is such a doll–love your blog!” It was so refreshing to feel so very appreciated–so I just wanted to let all those lovely folks know I appreciate YOU too! Those smiles and hello’s help make a day wonderful!

Kera, I was one of the people you talked with you in Sumner, your blog is so neat to read and you are so lucky to have such an adorable son and loving husband. As my husband and I say each day, we are so blessed to have each other and our children and grandchildren. Keep up the good work and thank you.
