Friday is one of my days off each week and it is notoriously just as busy as a day at the office.  This week, I planned to get caught up on a bunch of neglected housework.  So I did several loads of laundry, swept the kitchen floor, scooped doggie doody from the back yard, Windexed, dusted, and Cloroxed the bathrooms (even wiping down Drake’s bath toys and of course scrubbing toilets-YEAH!). 

What was so cute is how Drake followed me around and eagerly wanted to help.  I was upstairs folding some laundry and he would grab things from the unfolded pile and put them into the basket with the folded things.  Even though it wasn’t always where things were supposed to go, it was so darn cute to see him wanting to help!  Then when I went downstairs, I was using the Swiffer Wet Jet on the kitchen floor, and he was kind of whining at me, trying to grab the Swiffer handle.  So I gave it to him and he went to work sliding it across the floor!  Haha!  What a great helper.  Next on the list–wiping down the kitchen chairs and he proceeded to grab a kitchen towel from off the cabinet and followed behind me wiping the chairs off.  Monkey see–monkey do indeed!  I was thrilled to have such a sweet, big helper!  I figure I might as well take the adorable help since in a couple of years he will do everything in his power to get *out of* doing chores like most kids do!
