Poor baby :(

Last night, Drake was perfectly fine.  But he woke up in the middle of the night, and when Floyd went to see what was going on, Drake felt really warm.  He tried to rock him a bit, but Drake wasn’t falling back to sleep.  So I went downstairs and got some children’s Tylenol, came back up and gave him some.  He eventually nodded back off to sleep.  This morning when he woke up he was still really warm.  His temperature was reading anywhere from 101 to 102.7.  More Tylenol.  He hasn’t been too interested in eating, but did drink his milk this morning.  We can’t send him to daycare with a fever, so I am keeping him home.  (a bummer today since it was school picture day!)  I was also concerned that the medicine wasn’t seeming to help bring down his temperature too much, so we have a pediatrician appointment this afternoon to make sure he’s okay.  He’s been so mellow and snugly all morning, and just went down for a nap.  Hopefully he feels better soon.  I hate to see my poor little baby not feeling well!

Kera, When my daughter was 11 months old and running a fever that didn’t seem to want to go down the doctor told me to let her run around the house in her undershirt and diaper and to give her popsicles. (this was in February!) He said that the fever needs to escape so bundling them up is not a good idea and popsicles helps bring down the temperature while giving them something cool to drink. Hope Drake is feeling better.

Lots of stuff going around. Our daughter is 7 had a temp like this for 4 days, now has a cold. Many of her classmates have had same symptoms/complaints. Thinking of you, when they don’t speak yet, it really is hard on the parents. It is always hard when your family member is sick!
