Changing seasons…

I have a confession…I’ve lived in Iowa for 14 years now and I’ve NEVER been to Pikes Peak…EVER! But Monday I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful place and took some pictures along the way. The day started with a trip to Breitbach’s. It was my first time being inside since the second fire.

After lunch we drove up to McGregor and Pikes Peak. What a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! I found that the further north you go the better the leaves. The colors were amazing. I have to admit that IS one thing I like about fall. I love fall colors, fall style and fall decorations….I don’t like fall temps!!

Anyway, I wanted to share some pictures with you:

AS you can see it was an overcast day, and a bit chilly but certainly worth the trip. I encourage you to make the trip up Balltown Road and on to Highway 52. It’s BEAUTIFUL!! And I think this weekend is supposed to be a peak for fall foilage.

Check it out! Let me know what you’ve found and send pictures to kwwlnews@kwwl.com.

Have a great Wednesday!

Lauren~

I love watching the seasons change. It is always so beautiful around the tri-states region. It’s so unique how one bridge out of Dubuque leads to Illinois and the other leads to Wisconsin. I love Iowa!
