I’ve been on a mini-vacation since Friday. Since there was no Today in Iowa Saturday or Sunday morning shows, my family decided to host a baby shower! A little early but my hometown is 6 hours away from Waterloo. Even driving that long being just 24 weeks pregnant was a bit uncomfortable. However, I had a great time and was so happy to see so many friends and family. The fun game we did was called “Baby’s First ABC Book.” All of our guests were given a sheet of paper with a letter on it. They were instructed to draw a picture of anything that started with that letter. For example, my mom received X so she drew a xylophone. A few other inspirations were the John Deere logo for J, Nebraska for N, sunshine for S, and so on. One guest stated that this was probably the first time she’s gotten to color since she was a kid. My mom plans to laminate each page and then bind them to make baby’s first book. Everyone also signed the back of each page so we’ll know who contributed to baby’s book. Such a cute idea and I can’t wait to read it to Baby Pelster!
