I have a $5 bet on this question with a neighbor and I told him I will be talking to Mark ( you ) for the answer. When was the earliest date Dubuque received measurable snow. Didn’t Dubuque have a winter storm that dumped over a foot of snow in OCT a few years back? I think I will win this bet.

The earliest 1″ of snow in Dubuque was on Oct 19th, 1976

Schnack, I am interested in these maps but they are small and the dates are not readable. Are there newer and/or larger versions available.

I will have to look into where I got those maps. As you can see I posted them in 2007…it has been a while. I will see if I can get a hold of them and repost them tonight.

I have a new post that includes the maps so that they get large enough to read. Not sure why the other post didn’t work. Maybe it has to do with it being 4 yrs ago. Not sure.
