Hi, Mark!
We live 1 mile north of Bellevue, Ia, and had -34 degrees this morning at 6am. CRAZY!!
These can’t be record lows because grampa aways said that when he was a boy he walked through 15 foot snow drifts at 40 below to school all winter. Oh yeah uphill both ways too.
Just think if we didn’t have global warming!
I well remember 1 March 1962 also. I had to call my electrician at 11:30 p.m. (28 Feb.) as the fuses kept blowing in a renovated farrowing house. He had to rewire the electrical boxes as the frost would melt and short out the plug-ins for my heat lamps. Old enough now that two of my sons have to worry about those things now.
