Most of the burn bans remain in effect across eastern Iowa except for one. As of 6:00 this evening, the burn ban for Tama County will be lifted. No other changes have been made. Here is the updated burn ban map.

A cold front will push south across the state this evening. There is a slight chance for shower/storm to develop before the sun sets. Other than that slight chance of a storm this evening the sky will be mostly clear tonight. Here is the position of the front this afternoon.

There is a small portion of eastern Iowa outlined in the slight risk of severe weather by the Storm Prediction Center. The chance of any storm developing is low so the chance of any severe weather is very low. It is something I will be tracking through the evening.
After the front passes, high pressure will provide us with mostly sunny days…Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will bring another chance of showers/storms Thursday. Friday will be dry before another cold front passes through the state Saturday with another chance of showers/storms. Here is the forecast position of the front Saturday morning.

High pressure will bring sunshine to the area Sunday and Monday behind the passage of the front Saturday.
