We are still tracking the rain from what was Isaac. The low is currently over Missouri.

It has been moving north through the day but now it is forecast to turn right (east) tonight and Saturday. The forecast is the same as it has been for the last few days when it comes to any rain changes in Iowa. Iowa will be on the northern edge of the area of rain. Scattered showers are possible very late tonight and Saturday south of Cedar Rapids. The heavier rain would be south of Washington (1”+). There is a very sharp decrease in the rain amount north of Washington. The temperatures where the showers are forecast will be in the 70s. Areas north of Cedar Rapids with no rain will have highs in the low-mid 80s. Here is the rain forecast through Sunday evening.
As the storm moves into the Ohio Valley Sunday it will take the clouds with it and leave us with a mix of sun and clouds.
Our weather will remain dry Monday with our next chance of rain Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The sky will become mostly sunny Wednesday afternoon. The rain chances are due to the passage of a cold front. Behind the front it will be cooler with highs in the 70s and low in the 50s.
Here is the 8-14 day outlook (Sept 8-14) from the Climate Prediction Center (HPC). Iowa is forecast to have below normal temps and near normal precipitation.
