Our weather will remain quiet for the rest of the week and hot. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be in the 90s with lots of sunshine. Some clouds will move into the area Friday as the remnants of Isaac track north. The big question is still at what point will the low associated with Isaac turn right (east)? The forecast is to take it north into Missouri and then turn east toward Illinois. Due to the uncertainty of the “turn right” in Missouri I will leave a chance of showers in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

More clouds Saturday and Sunday will keep temperatures down a little bit…so at least we will stay out of the 90s.

Here is the HPC forecast position of the low, associated with Isaac, Saturday morning.

The map below is the forecast track from the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

Computer models have not been much help beyond 24 hours with this storm. Take a look at the various tracks of different models. A few of them take the storm into Iowa. Keep in mind that there are some tracks as far west as Kansas and as far east as Kentucky. A waiting game on with this storm.

The rain forecast through Sunday evening shows the heavy rain just southeast of Iowa as the remnants of Isaac could bring 3-6” of rain from Arkansas to southeast Missouri to Illinois and Indiana.
