Thanks to the friendly folks at Eisenhower Elementary School in Dubuque! I got to visit with the third graders on Monday, April 18. We talked about all the snow the fell around Dubuque during the winter of 2010-2011…and how all that snow made the Mississippi flood. We also learned about how barometers weigh the air, how the air changes weight every day and how that makes the wind blow. The students also had lots of good questions about storms and hurricanes. I enjoyed my time in Dubuque.
