Isaac going farther West?  Heavy rain in Iowa next week?

Latest GFS model (Global Forecast System) indicates Isaac going a bit farther West toward Louisiana Tuesday-Wednesday this week. Longer range outlook shows what could be some heavy rain over Iowa by next Wednesday. Kinda science fiction time…but something to file away for future reference…

Latest drought information shows that most of the country needs at least 3-6 inches of rain to bring soil conditions back to normal. Most of Iowa needs 9-12 inches…driest areas need around 15 inches.
