The Days are Getting Shorter

You probably have noticed that the days (less daylight) are getting shorter. I have to say less daylight because I will get someone to say…the days are not getting shorter, they are always 24 hours long. UGH. Anyway, back to the topic. The chart below is the length of daylight for Waterloo. I outlined the 17th of each month. Here is a quick list of length of daylight if you don’t want to look at the chart.

June: 15 hr 18 min
July: 14 hr 57 min
Aug: 13 hr 50 min
Sept: 12 hr 25 min
Oct: 11 hr 00 min

From June 17 to August 17 we have lost 1 hr 28 min. By September 17 we will have lost 4 hr 18 min.
