Weather Extra Bar

I hope you had a good Labor Day. It was a beautiful day for most of Iowa. Sunshine and temperatures in the 70s made for an ideal day. Not everyone in Iowa had that kind of weather. A few counties in northeast Iowa were chilly with temperatures only in the 60s and a cloudy sky. Here is the visible satellite image showing the areas that were cloudy.

Sep 2 Sat

The clouds in northeast Iowa will clear this evening. The sky will be clear tonight and the temperatures by Tuesday morning will be cool. Morning low temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 40s and low 50s. Normal low this time of year is upper 50s.

High pressure over Iowa Tuesday will provide another day with sunshine…this time area wide… and a light wind. Here is the forecast map showing the position of the high pressure early Tuesday afternoon.

Temperatures will slowly warm back to the mid 80s by Wednesday with more upper 80s by Friday and into the weekend. At the temperatures warms the humidity level will increase each day through the weekend. The forecast is for the dry stretch of weather to continue through the weekend. Here is the rain forecast from Monday evening through Saturday evening.
