Scattered Snow Showers

Scattered snow showers continue tonight across eastern Iowa. The wind is light overnight as temperatures drop into the upper 20s. Roads will be slick. Remember, many locations had freezing rain before the snow started to accumulate. So when shoveling remember there might be ice under the snow.

A wintry mix of snow and sleet is expected on and off through Tuesday with snow accumulations from Monday night and Tuesday to be a trace to 2” across all of eastern Iowa (higher amounts north). The wind increases in the afternoon from the north at 10-20 mph. Tuesday night is mostly cloudy with the wind a bit stronger…NW 15-25 mph.

Wednesday remains breezy with a mix of sun and clouds. High only warm to near 30 degrees. Thursday is dry with a mostly sunny sky. There is a slight chance of light snow Friday and Saturday.
